Sacramento - As part of the Commission's efforts to bring transparency and encourage participation throughout the state, the FPPC's June Commission hearing will be held in San Jose at the Board of Supervisors Chambers.

When: June 20, 2013 at 12:00 p.m.

Where: 70 W. Hedding Street, Board of Supervisors Chambers
San Jose, CA 95110

Included on the June agenda are two money laundering cases, each with staff recommended penalties of $18,000 - all monetary penalties must be approved by a majority of the five-member Commission. In addition, there will be a discussion about a new regulation to address greater transparency in online communications (e.g., blogs) paid for by a campaign. Specifically, Commission staff is seeking input from the Commission and the public about creating an easily identifiable report of when a committee pays a person or group to create online content on behalf of the committee.

As noted on the agenda, members of the public may listen to the meeting by phone. The complete agenda is available.
