Below is a summary of the actions of the Fair Political Practices Commission during its monthly hearing. The meeting agenda can be found on our website at www.fppc.ca.gov.

Roll: Chair Miadich and Commissioners Baker, Cardenas, Wilson, and Wood were in attendance.

Item 2: Minutes from March 2021 Commission Hearing. Approved 5-0.

Item 3: Enforcement Action. Motion to reject the stipulation and direct the Enforcement Division to negotiate a higher penalty. Approved 5-0.

Item 4: Enforcement Action. Approved 5-0.

Item 5: Enforcement Notice.

Item 6: Assignment of Hearing to Administrative Law Judge (ALJ): In the Matter of Long Beach Families Against Measure A; FPPC No. 16/773. The item will move to an ALJ.

Item 7: Annual Enforcement Division Review: Staff, Procedures, Practices and Statistics. Discussion Item.

Item 8: Prenotice discussion of regulatory changes for disclosure of online content. Discussion item.

Item 9: In re Sanders Opinion. Motion to adopt draft number two. Approved 5-0.

Item 10: Committee Updates. Chair Miadich gave an update on the Law and Policy Committee and Public Outreach and Technology Committee.

Item 11: Legislative Update. Motion to support AB 1590. Approved 5-0. Motion to support AB 319. Approved 5-0.

Item 12: Executive Staff Reports. Accepted with correction to page 12, to change count 1 to count 2.

Item 13: Commissioner Comments and Proposed Future Agenda Items. Chair Miadich asked for a closed session update on pending litigation at the May 2021 meeting.
