Below is a summary of the actions of the Fair Political Practices Commission during its monthly hearing. The meeting agenda can be found on our website at www.fppc.ca.gov. 

Roll: Chair Miadich and Commissioners Baker, Cardenas, Wilson, and Wood were in attendance.

Item 2: Minutes from December 2020 Commission Hearing. Approved 4-0, Commissioner Baker abstained from the vote.

Items 3-7: Enforcement Actions. Approved 5-0.

Item 8-9: Enforcement Notice. Information item.

Item 10: Update on the Secretary of State’s CAL-ACCESS Replacement Project. Information item.

Item 11: Pre-Notice Discussion of Regulatory Amendments in Response to SB 1239 and AB 909. Discussion item.

Item 12: Amendment and Adoption of Regulations Governing Enforcement Division Streamline and Warning Letter Programs and New Tier Two Streamline Program. Motion to amend lobbying Tier One thresholds to $100,000 and Tier Two thresholds to $200,000. Motion failed 1-4 with Commissioners Baker, Cardenas, Wilson, and Chair Miadich voting no. Motion to approve passed 5-0.
